Seeking an expansion into additional packaging segments, the company formerly known as All American Label has purchased three new Heidelberg machines, including a press, diecutter and platesetter. With the new equipment, the company has changed its name to All American Label and Packaging.

It may be a mature packaging segment, but the folding carton market is still “ripe with opportunity” for those who know how to make the most of it.

Paperboard packaging specialist Wausau Container will be adding a new 41˝ Koenig & Bauer Rapida 105 PRO sheetfed press this coming fall. The press will be Wausau Container's first from Koenig & Bauer and will be its first sheetfed press of this size.

Koenig & Bauer is strengthening its position and focus to target the globally increasing demand for all types of offset printed labels. As part of this refocus, Koenig & Bauer's research and development team is working to produce critical press features for this growing market.

Accurate Box, a Paterson, N.J.-based printer of high-graphic corrugated boxes, is adding a new seven-color, 64˝ Koenig & Bauer Rapida 164 press, increasing the company's capacity and speeds. The press will operate alongside two seven-color, 64˝ Koenig & Bauer Rapida 162 sheetfed presses.

With the foodservice packaging market growing at a very rapid pace, Southern Champion Tray made the decision to add a seven-color, 41˝ Koenig & Bauer Rapida 106 press to its facility in Mansfield, Texas.

Komori America completed the installation of a six color Lithrone GX40 at Nosco, a full-service packaging solutions provider serving a variety of industries.

Connecticut-based Curtis Packaging is in the process of installing a new, customized 10-color, 41˝Koenig & Bauer Rapida 106 double coater in its 150,000-sq.-ft. facility. The new press will join two current 51˝ Koenig & Bauer Rapida 130 large-format presses.
