During last week's Heidelberg Packaging Days event, Stephan Plenz of Heidelberg led a session looking at the future of packaging and the steps that Heidelberg is taking to address needs in the evolving packaging industry.

During the third annual Digital Packaging Summit, a panel of suppliers that have launched products and solutions in the hybrid printing space discussed the impact the technology will have in packaging.

During the opening session of the Digital Packaging Summit, Bob Leahey of Keypoint Intelligence provided a look into the latest statistics in digital package printing to outline where the technology stands across all packaging segments, including labels, folding cartons, flexible packaging and corrugated.

Zumbiel Digital has installed the first Kodak PROSPER 6000S inkjet web press for packaging. What makes Zumbiel’s digital press unique is its combination of full width digital printheads, seven flexographic print stations and in-line diecutting, along with run speeds in excess of 200 m/min.
