Mohawk has introduced 68 new synthetic products specifically engineered for dry toner presses. Mohawk's digital substrate line expansion brings the total number of specialty substrates to over 120—making its digital portfolio one of the broadest and most extensive available for HP Indigo and dry toner use.
For his on-going and significant contributions to TLMI and the tag and label industry as a whole, Scott Pillsbury, president of Portland, Ore.-based Rose City Label Company, has been selected as packagePRINTING's 2012 TLMI Converter of the Year. "I believe my greatest career milestone to date was leading our company back to a positive, profitable position after feeling the effects of the recession in 2008," he notes.
The need for a label of some kind, intrinsic to the product packaging or applied to it, will not go away. However, there are certainly tectonic shifts in packaging buyers' preferences.
