SEI's Label Master Finishing Machine Outshines at Labelexpo Workshop

CHICAGO—September 28, 2012—At Labelexpo’s laser diecutting workshop SEI Laser’s Label Master label finishing machine ran the fastest speeds, produced the most complicated labels and demonstrated the best laser diecutting performance of all four competitors.

The Laser diecutting workshop featured the four leading suppliers of laser diecutting systems for label converting. Labelexpo specified three labels that all the vendors had to produce. The forth job was free-style, each vendor could choose what to produce. On one job SEI’s Label Master laser diecutting system diecut and numbered labels at 65 m/min (213 fpm) at least 30 percent faster than any other competitor. On the free-style job SEI’s Label Master took a pre-printed label, applied hot foil, spot varnish, laser engraved numbers diecut the labels, then slit the web in to three streams delivering completed rolls of 500 labels each using a semi-automatic turret rewind. The SEI Label Master delivered unmatched “roll to ship” performance.
