ICE USA to Debut in 2011
BURLINGTON, Mass.—ICE (International Converting Exhibition) USA (www.ice-x-usa.com) will debut in Orlando, Florida, on April 6-8, 2011. According to the show organizer, Mack Brooks Inc., ICE USA will mark the first time that North American converting professionals will have the opportunity to access such a wide array of international and domestic customers and peers. As part of a global network of converting expositions, ICE USA is the newest in a series of four successful ICE events held around the world.
At the kickoff press event held in April, Michael Boyle, ICE USA show director, commented on the selection of Orlando for the inaugural event. "We saw the need to move the show out of the Midwest and felt that Orlando provided an attractive venue in terms of access and cost-effectiveness for both exhibitors and attendees."
The original ICE Expo debuted several years ago in Europe and has grown to become a leading worldwide dedicated converting event with more than 300 exhibitors and 5,000 attendees. It is, like all ICE shows, held biennially and has been joined by ICE Asia, held in Shanghai, China, and ICE South America, making its debut in São Paulo, Brazil later this year.
"The converting and package printing industry truly has become a global marketplace," says Boyle.
Boyle emphasized that ICE USA will feature many of the leading exhibitors from CMM International, which it acquired in 2009, as well as new equipment suppliers from ICE events in Europe, Asia, and Latin America. At the same time, converters and package printers from these regions of the world will be coming to ICE USA looking for North American suppliers and solutions.
