MPS and Etirama Form Stragetic Alliance

DIDAM, Netherlands—MPS and Brazil-based Etirama, both manufacturers of narrow-web label and packaging presses, announced a cooperative agreement for the development and production of a new flexo printing machine for the label printing industry.

Both company have observed an increasing demand for a cost-effective servo-driven flexo printing machine. The new press line will be built to International standards by Etirama in Brazil, and will be sold worldwide. Availability is projected for the second quarter of 2009.

The two companies are convinced that by joining forces they will be able to design and manufacturer one of the most cost-effective servo-driven flexo machines available in the market.

MPS is a fast-growing manufacturer of narrow-web label and packaging printing presses. MPS has installed more than 250 fully servo-driven printing presses, printing self-adhesive labels and monofilm packaging. Etirama is a producer of flexographic machines, flatbed machines, and accessories, with almost 10 years in the market and with 40 years of experience.
