Metsä Board Earns Spot on CDP Supplier Engagement Assessment Leaderboard
Metsä Board, part of Metsä Group, has been recognized by CDP for its work to engage with suppliers to tackle climate change jointly. Earlier this year, Metsä Board scored a CDP Triple A rating across climate, forests, and water security. Only eight companies in the world received the best Triple A rating. Metsä Board was the only forest industry company among the highest-scoring companies.
CDP’s annual Supplier Engagement Assessment (SEA) evaluates corporate supply chain engagement on climate issues. The highest-rated companies are celebrated in the nonprofit’s Supplier Engagement Rating Leaderboard. The SEA evaluates companies’ responses to the CDP climate questionnaire to assess their performance on governance, targets, Scope 3 emissions, and value chain engagement.
CDP is a global nonprofit that runs the world’s only independent environmental disclosure system for companies, capital markets, cities, states and regions to manage their environmental impacts. Its purpose is to enable Earth-positive decisions to protect future generations.
