NEWARK, N.J.—Craig Adhesives and Coatings announced today a free trial program for its 1077M-3 coating product used by sheet-fed offset printers running hybrid inks, according to Howard Ragin, president. This new trial program will allow printers to order a free five-gallon sample to compare with their current products. Using 1077M-3, they will print glossier, higher quality products.
"The new UV coating is superior to its rivals as it provides the highest level of gloss in the market," said Ragin. "We've been testing the product for years and it's consistently the best in its class. In fact, we're so confident it is better than other coatings we are giving out free samples of the product for printers to experience the results first hand."
The 1077M-3 coating, one in a series of high performance coatings, was developed for printers using hybrid inks to help their products stand out with superior leveling and flow. The coating produces higher gloss readings, less gloss back, and consistent results job after job on a wide variety of presses. This UV coating is currently used in high-end packaging including cosmetics, toothpaste, pharmaceutical, CD, DVD, and golf ball packaging.
"We decided to sample Craig's 1077M-3 coating against a competitor's and our existing standard house coating and Craig's sample proved to be the best with the highest gloss level," said Peter Korpel, vice president, manufacturing at Bentley Graphic Communications. "Needless to say we changed our house UV coating to Craig's 1077M-3 and have had rave reviews about the increased gloss levels."
Craig's free five-gallon sample promotion encourages printers currently using hybrid inks to try 1077M-3 to experience the coating that will give them an "edge" over their competition and start winning business based on outstanding product performance, not just price.
