Discount Labels Plans to 'Shout It Loud' at PRINTING United
Discount Labels exhibits at more than 30 trade shows every year. But, despite the fact that the company is America’s leading supplier of custom-printed labels, most of the events on its calendar aren’t print-only trade shows. What would convince Discount Labels to take part in one?
Answer: an invitation to exhibit at PRINTING United (Dallas, Texas, October 23-25, 2019). Debbi Ulmer, Marketing Director, says she’s excited to see PRINTING United emerge as a “well rounded event for the trade” and an ideal venue for telling the Discount Labels story.
“It sounded like the perfect fit for us,” says Ulmer, who’s particularly impressed by the fact that the show’s floor space is almost fully sold out months in advance of opening day. “That speaks volumes about the strength of the event,” she declares.
Founded in 1965, Discount Labels is a trade-only printer that produces labels of all kinds for dealers and distributors of printing, specialty advertising, business forms and services, packing and shipping, signs, banners and awards, and office products. It will find most of these market segments represented at PRINTING United, an event designed to gather the full spectrum of the graphic communication industry under one roof.
Ulmer says that as an exhibitor, Discount Labels will use the opportunity to educate the print marketplace about its own full-spectrum capabilities in label production. These include a 200,000-sq.-ft. plant that houses more than 70 presses and seven ABG Digicon finishers – a larger concentration of these high-end devices than any other U.S. label manufacturer. With these and other assets, Discount Labels can quickly turn around label orders using a wide variety of stocks, colors, die cut shapes, and specialty formats.
The company will find an appreciative audience for its manufacturing versatility at PRINTING United, an expo owned 100% by the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) and supported in partnership with NAPCO Media. Organized around the theme of convergence, PRINTING United carries on and broadens the mission of SGIA Expo, the industry’s most comprehensive showcase for graphic and visual communications.
PRINTING United accomplishes this by offering a new perspective on profiting in segments from garment to graphic, packaging to commercial, and industrial to in-plant. BRAND United, a co-located educational event, complements the experience with content aimed at brand owners and other customer audiences.
According to Ulmer, Discount Labels is looking forward to the platform that PRINTING United will give the company to showcase all it can do for printers and other distributors that want to profit from selling high-quality, custom label products. “We’re ready to shout it loud,” she says.
