TEXARKANA, AR—October 9, 2014—First Tape & Label, an industry-leading label printer and specialty converter has ordered their second DICEweb color inkjet system less than a month after their first DICEweb system was up and running.
Texarkana, Arkansas-based First Tape & Label manufactures, distributes, and services pressure-sensitive adhesive coated products used in a broad range of industries including tire, steel, packaging, food, automotive, and more.
"The DICEweb is giving us speed, efficiency and perfect printing every time," said David Haak, founder and owner of First Tape & Label. "We get better consistency than with our flexo press. It doesn't matter if we print the label today, tomorrow or a month from today, the colors look the same."
Chuck Raymond, president of PPSI commented: "First Tape & Label and PPSI's partnership is a great example of how DICEweb can create a competitive advantage for a label converter. DICEweb turns any flexo press into a state-of-the-art digital printer, and it supports First Tape & Label's promise of next day delivery to its customers."
Prototype & Production Systems is a digital printing and custom automation design and manufacturing company based near Minneapolis. PPSI delivers roll-fed and conveyor-based inkjet printing equipment and inks to the printing and packaging industry, and to major brand-owners.
"We are able to print over twice as many labels per shift as we did with our previous inkjet printer,” says Haak. “We can queue up jobs and run three lanes across because every lane can be different, which reduces waste and increases productivity."
