ACTEGA Kelstar Launches 100 Percent UV Soft Touch Coating

ACTEGA Kelstar, a provider of specialty coatings and chemicals, has announced the introduction of its newest product to its specialty coatings portfolio – 100% UV Soft Touch. The newest product features several distinguishing characteristics, including:

• It is a 100 percent UV curable one-part system. UV Soft Touch is not a hybrid or two-part system, and requires only UV lamps to cure.
• Improved quality control management. The manufacturing process produces higher product yield with none of the leftover material typically seen in two-part systems.
• Lower Energy Requirements. There is no IR/air required as seen with hybrid soft-touch systems.
• Improved durability and scuff/abrasion resistance. Compared with other current aqueous or UV Soft Touch coatings in the marketplace, ACTEGA Kelstar’s 100% UV Soft Touch offers good resistance to scuffing and abrasion to the elements seen in the packaging and printing industry.
